Villefranche-sur-Mer Beach is a very nice and cozy beach with coarse sand. The long narrow beach is home to many small snack bars offering food, drinks, and ice cream.
It’s one of the very few public beaches on the coast without private areas. There’s an option to rent sun loungers but not umbrellas.
The beach is very family-friendly, and many locals use it, especially late in the day. During the high season, the bay off the beach is frequently visited by sailboats and cruise ships, which anchor and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. This gives a special atmosphere to the entire beach.
On both sides of the beach, there are coastal paths to Nice and Cap-Ferrat respectively.
