Pampelonne Beach is considered the finest beach on the Côte-d’Azur. It is located about 5 kms southwest of Saint-Tropez and, with its fine white sand, which contrasts beautifully with the color of the blue sea, the beach invites you to an unforgettable sunny day in the Mediterranean waves.

Pampelonne Beach

Pampelonne Beach is the overall name of the beach, located between Cap Pinet and Cap Camarat. It is almost 5 kms long and it is divided into areas, and each area containing several beaches, each with its own characteristics and activities.

Water sports

For those seeking an adrenaline rush, Pampelonne Beach offers a wide range of exciting water sports.

Here, you will find everything from jet skiing, windsurfing and paddleboarding to snorkeling, kayaking, or sailing on a catamaran. So there’s something for everyone.

Pampelonnes fame

The beach is very famous for its fine, white sandy beaches and crystalclear waters.

Also, especially the filming of international films, such as “God created the woman” with Birgitte Bardot and the film series “The gendarme of Saint-Tropez” with Louis de Funès, put Pampelonne on the world map.

Today, the beach is particularly known for its trendy beach clubs and restaurants, where you can enjoy a cocktail or a delicious lunch overlooking the sea.

Some of the most popular beach clubs on Pampelonne are Club 55 and Nikki Beach.

Do I need to book a seat at the beach clubs in Pampelonne?

Yes, especially during the summer months (June to September), it is essential to book a seat to be sure to enjoy the various possibilities Pampelonne Beach has to offer.

Reservations for lunch and sun loungers on the beach are required and must be made separately. The seats are highly sought after and limited, and it is advisable to book up to a few months in advance.

The public beach areas

Of course, you can easily visit Pampelonne Beach without having to shell out a fortune to the well-known beach clubs. Use one of the public areas and bring a picnic basket, some drinks and remember to pack your sunscreen.

How to get to Pampelonne Beach?

From Saint-Tropez, you can reach the beaches of Pampelonne both by bus and taxi/Uber.

If you have your own car, the D93 road gives access to the 6 entrances that go to the parking lots along the beaches.
