Musical fireworks festival in Cannes
The fireworks shows are launched from platforms in the Bay of Cannes and combine fire, color and sound in spectacular choreographies, carefully synchronized with music. Each show lasts approximately 25 minutes and the visual drama against the dark backdrop of the sea creates an unforgettable experience.
Dates for 2025:
July 4, 14 and 22
August 5, 15 and 24
International competition and audience voting
The festival, which has taken place since 1967, is held as an international competition. A professional jury awards prizes such as the Vestale d’Argent and the rare Vestale d’Or, while the audience can also vote for their favorite via the festival’s official website. Each show represents a new country and a new creative interpretation of the art of fireworks.

How to get the best experience
Along La Croisette
Most people gather along the seafront. Arrive early – preferably before 20:30 – to secure a good spot overlooking the bay.
From a boat
Several shipping companies offer special catamaran tours where you experience the show from the sea with dinner and drinks included. These tours are popular and often sell out well in advance.

At the beach restaurants
Several beach restaurants along La Croisette offer reserved lounge areas and al fresco dining. Prices typically start from €40-65 per person, depending on location and service.
Tips for transportation and parking
Fireworks nights in Cannes are magical – but the same can’t be said for traffic. From around 9pm until after midnight, the streets get packed and it can take a long time to get out of town.
If you arrive by car and park in one of the central parking garages, please note that exiting is often only possible after 24:00.
If you want to avoid stress, we recommend arriving early – preferably several hours before the show starts – so you can find parking in the streets outside the city center. Be aware that most parking garages in Cannes are already full by 8:30 pm.
A great alternative is to take the train. It’s quick, easy and accessible from virtually every city along the French Riviera.
You can also choose to park in a nearby town such as Biot or Villeneuve-Loubet, where there is free parking close to the train stations. From here there are direct trains to Cannes. Be sure to check the train times for the return journey to avoid unnecessary waiting time after the show.
