Tour description: Hiking on Sentier de la Brague – 10 km
The tour starts in Biot and ends in Valbonne, but can of course also be done in the opposite direction. The entire route follows a scenic forest path that winds beautifully along the river La Brague.
In summer, the dense foliage of the forest provides pleasant shade, while in winter it provides shelter from the wind.
The vegetation varies along the way and in several places you’ll find natural pools with cool, clear water – perfect for a refreshing dip.

The trail is well marked and there are several idyllic spots along the way that are perfect for a picnic.
Whether you start in Biot or Valbonne, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy a well-deserved break in one of the cozy cafés or restaurants in the finish town.
There is ample parking in Biot, including at Parking des Bâchettes. Make time for a stroll in this charming town, world-famous for its glass art (La Verrerie de Biot) and the impressive Fernand Léger art museum.

Tour start: Hiking Sentier de la Brague – from Biot to Valbonne
The hike begins in Biot at the small road Chemin Joseph Durbec. Follow the paved road for about 300 meters until it turns sharply 90 degrees. At the bend, on the left-hand side, you will find a small staircase that leads down to the hiking trail itself.
From here, simply follow the signs to Valbonne. The official name of the route is Sentier de la Brague. If in doubt along the way – in some places the trail splits without signs – always choose the path closest to the river.
Return to Biot
You can choose to walk back the same way along the path or take bus line 10, which stops right next to the parking lot on Rue d’Opio.
