3000 m2 welcomes you inside
This market is completely covered and located in a large hall built back in 1932. The hall replaced a former hall built of wood from 1884. It was the French architect Henri Bret (1899-1939) who was responsible for that construction.
With its 3000 m2 and approx. 50 places, the market invites you inside to some of the best the Riviera has to offer in Provencal and Italian specialties including seafood.
You will find the market at the foot of the old Suquet neighborhood and, in 2012, the area was transformed into a pedestrian street.
The Forville Market is an intact testament to the architecture of halls and markets as they were designed in the 1930s, and shows in the finest way how urban integration and functionality of public facilities can go up into a higher entity.
In the year 2000, the building, with its distinctive architecture, was certified as a regional heritage.
The flea market on Mondays
On Mondays, when the normal food market is closed, it is replaced by a large flea market.
